DescriptionDetails about a single finding identified on radiological examination.
UseUse to record details about a single, clinically significant finding identified on radiological examination that cannot be otherwise recorded using the CLUSTER.imaging_exam family of archetypes. In practice, the design intent is for the CLUSTER.imaging_exam family of archetypes to be used to record all detailed findings on radiological examination. The family of specialised archetypes, derived from the generic parent archetype, are intentionally designed to be inclusive of all reasonably anticipated and relevant findings for each structure or region. In situations where it is not possible to use one of the CLUSTER.imaging_exam family of archetypes, use this alternative CLUSTER.imaging_finding archetype to capture simple details about a single finding. In this way it is possible to record findings that are not yet available in an incomplete specialisation or to capture information about unanticipated or unexpected findings. This archetype has been designed to be nested within the 'Structured imaging findings' SLOT in the OBSERVATION.imaging_exam_result or in 'Additional details' SLOT within a relevant CLUSTER.imaging_exam specialisation, but can also be used within other ENTRY or CLUSTER archetypes, where clinically appropriate.
