DescriptionPOEM (Patient-Oriented Eczema Measure).
MisuseShould not be utilised in children.
PurposeThe Patient-Oriented Eczema Measure (POEM), is a simple measure, developed "for research purposes, and to assist health care professionals such as general practitioners, dermatologists, pediatricians, and specialist nurses caring for patients in routine clinical practice"(1). It is a tool that enables measurement of "atopic eczema severity from the patients’ perspective"(1,2).
